CHANSON TRISTE

The idea of this piece was to re-make the espressivo sound of the strings. That was the determinative forming element of the lines and the whole architecture. I used the traditional form of the three-part song.

The espressivo singing of the soprano is counterpointed with the movement of pure fifths. This procedure has brought different harmonic relations into the melody, already structured with a chain of split major chords and has varied its conventional models.
